The apprenticeship program is a full-time learning opportunity for woodworkers looking to further their career goals in furnituremaking. I consider this to be a "graduate level" program, and not a place to learn basic skills. Applicants must be able to demonstrate their interest, committment, and skill level by showing photographs of five pieces of completed work.
The apprenticeship is set up with four days a week of work on J. Miller projects in the shop, with a fifth day for the apprentice's own projects. The apprenticeship will last at least one full year. Many stay on for longer.
